Courtney Simmons’ children’s hospital never gave up on her

“Before my 17th birthday, I lost my sister and my mom to cancer. Then I got it too. I had 30 weeks of chemotherapy and several surgeries to remove the tumor and repair my damaged bones. Thanks to my children’s hospital, I’m cancer-free. They never gave up on me. I am now studying to be a pediatric oncology nurse and I started a Dance Marathon at my university to help my local children’s hospital.”
